USDT deposit cost index

The measured network cost of a USDT transfer on Tron, BNB Chain, Solana, Polygon and Ethereum, updated every six hours.

How much does it cost to move USDT to a casino, exchange or wallet? This index measures the actual network cost of recent USDT transfers on five blockchains, every six hours, and keeps a rolling 30-day record. It’s the same data behind our fee calculator. Figures are network costs only: exchanges and casinos may add their own fees on top. If you’re new to paying a casino in stablecoins, our guide to how USDT casinos work covers the basics.

What the numbers mean

  • Median cost is the middle value of all our measurements over the window shown, in US dollars. It’s less affected by one-off spikes than an average.
  • Range is the lowest and highest measurement in the window. Ethereum and Tron move the most: Ethereum with network demand, Tron with the energy price and how much energy each transfer uses.
  • Latest is the most recent measurement.
  • Reviewed casinos counts the casinos we review that publish USDT support on that network. Several don’t publish their networks at all; see casinos by network.

What it doesn’t include: your exchange’s withdrawal fee (often a flat fee per network, and often bigger than the network cost), any casino withdrawal fee, and costs you can reduce yourself, such as staking TRX for energy on Tron.

How to use it

Pick the cheapest network that both your wallet or exchange and the casino support, then check your exchange’s own fee for that network. For small deposits, a network costing a dollar or more can eat a noticeable share of what you send; our calculator shows that as a percentage. Always match the network on both sides; see sent USDT on the wrong network if something goes wrong.

Methodology

Our server takes a measurement on each network every six hours and stores up to 30 days of them. Coin prices for converting to US dollars come from Binance’s public price feed at the time of each measurement.

  • Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon: we read the latest blocks from a public node, find up to 15 direct calls to the official USDT contract’s transfer function, and take each transaction’s gas used multiplied by the gas price it actually paid. The figure is the median of those transfers. Transfers made through other contracts, such as exchange batch payouts or smart-contract wallets, aren’t included.
  • Tron: we take up to 15 recent confirmed USDT transfers from the TronGrid public API, read the energy each one used, and price the median at the network’s current energy price in TRX. This is the cost if you pay by burning TRX; with staked or rented energy it can be close to zero. Transfers to an address that has never held USDT use more energy than transfers to one that has.
  • Solana: we use the fixed base fee of 5,000 lamports plus the median recent priority fee paid on the USDT token, at 30,000 compute units. It excludes the one-off deposit of about 0.002 SOL needed if the receiving address has no USDT token account yet.

Measurements that fail (a node or API not responding) are skipped, not estimated. Sample counts are shown in the table. Data sources: public Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon nodes (publicnode.com), the TronGrid API, Solana’s public RPC and Binance’s public price API.
