Choosing a crypto wallet for gambling

What matters in a wallet for casino deposits and withdrawals, and what MetaMask, Trust Wallet and TronLink support.

You don’t need a special wallet to use a crypto casino, but the wallet you choose decides which networks you can use, what transfers cost, and how safe your funds are between sessions. This guide explains what matters in a wallet for casino deposits and withdrawals, and compares three widely used self-custody wallets on the networks casinos use. It doesn’t recommend any wallet; check each one’s own documentation.

Self-custody wallet or exchange account?

  • Self-custody wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, TronLink and others): you hold the keys, transfers to and from casinos are under your control, and no exchange can block a gambling-related transfer. If you lose your recovery phrase, nobody can restore access.
  • Exchange account: simpler for buying and selling, but the exchange charges withdrawal fees, may ask where incoming funds came from, and some restrict transfers linked to gambling. Read its terms.

Many people buy on an exchange, move funds to their own wallet, and deposit to the casino from there. See how to buy USDT or USDC.

What matters for casino use

  1. The networks your casino uses. The wallet must support the coin on the exact network the casino lists. Our casinos by network page shows what each reviewed casino publishes.
  2. Cheap networks. Support for Solana, BNB Chain or Polygon keeps transfer costs to a fraction of a cent; our deposit cost index measures them.
  3. Gas tokens. You need the network’s own coin to pay fees: TRX on Tron, BNB on BNB Chain, ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana.
  4. Memo support. If you use TON, the wallet must let you add the memo the casino requires.
  5. Clear transaction screens. You should see the network, amount and fee before you approve anything.

Three widely used wallets

What each wallet’s own website says it supports, as of October 2026:

Wallet Custody Networks casinos use
MetaMask Self-custody Ethereum and EVM networks (BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base and others), plus Solana and Tron
Trust Wallet Self-custody “100+ blockchains”, including Tron, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana and TON
TronLink Self-custody Tron (including TRC-20 tokens); the browser extension also supports Ethereum and BNB Chain

Features differ between mobile apps and browser extensions and change often. Confirm the network appears in your version before you rely on it. Our MetaMask casinos guide covers depositing from MetaMask in detail.

Keep a separate wallet for gambling

Consider a separate wallet, or a separate account within your wallet, that only ever holds what you’ve budgeted to play with. It makes it obvious how much you’ve spent, keeps your savings out of reach on a bad night, and makes records simpler. Pair it with the casino’s deposit or loss limits where available; see our responsible gambling guide.

Security basics

  • Never share your recovery phrase. No casino, support agent or “recovery service” ever needs it.
  • Read every approval. A casino deposit is a simple transfer. Requests to approve unlimited token spending, or to sign messages you don’t understand, are red flags.
  • Copy addresses fresh from the casino’s cashier or your wallet’s receive screen, not from transaction history, to avoid address-poisoning scams.
  • Beware fake tokens that appear in your wallet uninvited; casinos won’t credit them.

FAQ

What’s the best crypto wallet for gambling?
The one that supports the coin and network your casino uses, cheaply and clearly. MetaMask, Trust Wallet and TronLink are widely used self-custody options; check the casino’s networks first, then pick a wallet that covers them.
Can I deposit to a casino straight from an exchange?
Often yes, but exchanges charge their own withdrawal fees and some restrict gambling-related transfers. A self-custody wallet avoids those restrictions.
Which wallet supports USDT TRC-20?
TronLink and Trust Wallet support Tron, and current versions of MetaMask do too. You need TRX in the wallet to pay fees.
