Polygon casinos and sportsbooks: USDT and USDC on Polygon

How Polygon deposits work, what they cost, which reviewed casinos and sportsbooks support Polygon, and the token mix-ups to avoid.

Polygon is one of the cheapest networks for moving stablecoins: a USDT transfer usually costs a fraction of a cent. Fewer crypto casinos and sportsbooks support it than Tron or BNB Chain, but several of the casinos we review do, for both casino games and sports betting. This guide explains how Polygon deposits work, what they cost, which reviewed sites support them, and the token mix-ups to avoid.

How a Polygon deposit works

  1. Choose USDT or USDC on “Polygon” in the cashier. The deposit address starts with 0x, like Ethereum’s.
  2. In your wallet or exchange, choose the same coin on Polygon (sometimes shown as “Polygon PoS” or “MATIC network” on older screens).
  3. Hold a little POL if you send from your own wallet: it pays the gas. POL replaced MATIC as Polygon’s gas token.
  4. Send a small test first, then the rest. Transfers usually confirm within a minute or two; follow them on PolygonScan.

What Polygon transfers cost

Our deposit cost index measures the network cost of real USDT transfers on Polygon every six hours; it’s typically well under one cent. Exchanges charge their own flat withdrawal fee per network on top, which is usually the bigger number. Compare networks with the fee calculator.

Casinos and sportsbooks we review on Polygon

All of these also run a sportsbook, so the same Polygon deposit works for sports betting. See our USDT sports betting guide and the best USDT betting sites.

Pitfalls

  • Same address format as Ethereum. Polygon, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum and Base all use 0x addresses. Make sure the network in your wallet matches the cashier; see wrong-network deposits.
  • Native vs bridged USDC. Polygon has native USDC issued by Circle and an older bridged version (USDC.e). Some casinos accept only one; Cloudbet, for example, lists native USDC on Polygon. Check which one your wallet holds. Our USDC vs USDT guide explains the difference.
  • USDT on Polygon is bridged. Polygon isn’t on Tether’s own list of networks it issues USDT on, so USDT there is a bridged token. Casinos that list “USDT (Polygon)” accept that version.
  • No POL, no transfer. Sending from your own wallet needs a small POL balance for gas.
