USDT on Tron (TRC-20) is the most common way to fund a crypto casino: almost every casino accepts it, and transfers confirm in about a minute. It isn’t the cheapest network any more, though, and Tron’s fee system confuses a lot of people. This guide explains how TRC-20 deposits work, what they really cost, which casinos we’ve reviewed support them, and the mistakes to avoid.
How a TRC-20 deposit works
- Choose “USDT” and “TRC-20” (or “Tron”) in the casino cashier. You’ll get a Tron address, which starts with a capital
T. - In your wallet or exchange, pick USDT on the Tron / TRC-20 network. Exchanges often list several networks for USDT; choose the one that matches.
- Paste the address, send a small test amount first, then the rest once it’s credited.
- Wait for confirmations. Tron blocks are fast, and casinos usually credit TRC-20 deposits within a few minutes. You can follow the transfer on Tronscan with the transaction ID.
What TRC-20 transfers cost
Tron doesn’t charge a simple per-transaction fee. It uses two resources:
- Bandwidth covers the size of the transaction. Each activated account gets a small free daily allowance.
- Energy covers running smart contracts, and a USDT transfer is a smart-contract call. There’s no free Energy: if your account hasn’t staked TRX for Energy, or had Energy delegated to it, the network burns TRX from your balance to pay.
In practice, sending USDT from your own wallet without staked Energy typically costs around $2–5 in burned TRX, and you need some TRX in the wallet or the transfer fails. Heavy users stake TRX or rent Energy to bring the cost down. If you send from an exchange, it handles this for you and charges its own flat USDT withdrawal fee instead; compare that fee with other networks before choosing.
For most casino-sized deposits, Solana, BNB Chain or Polygon are cheaper if both sides support them. Our networks guide has a calculator comparing them.
Our USDT deposit cost index measures what a TRC-20 transfer actually costs, from recent transfers, every six hours.

These reviewed casinos don't publish their stablecoin networks outside the cashier, so they may or may not support Tron (TRC-20): Winz.io, Metaspins, BitStarz, BC.Game ⚠, BetFury, 1xBit ⚠.
Withdrawal fees in this table are the casino’s own fee; network costs come on top. Casinos marked ⚠ have a serious issue in their history, explained in the review.
Pitfalls
- No TRX, no transfer. Sending USDT from your own Tron wallet needs TRX for Energy and Bandwidth. Keep a few TRX in the wallet.
- Wrong network. A Tron address (starting with
T) and an Ethereum-style address (starting with0x) are different networks. Exchanges usually block an obviously mismatched address, but not always. - USDC on Tron. None of the casinos we review lists USDC on Tron. Use USDT on Tron, or USDC on another network.
- Look-alike addresses. When withdrawing back to your Tron wallet, copy the address fresh from the wallet’s receive screen, not from your transaction history. Scammers send tiny transfers from addresses that look like yours.
- Minimums. A deposit below the casino’s minimum may never be credited.
